Calculators for Draft Beer Dispense

McDantim’s gas blend calculators will help you find the correct blend
or pressure for your draught beverage system.

The values generated by these programs represent our best effort to be accurate.
Changes due to ABV are the least understood and most likely to be in error at extreme values.
These calculators are intended to be used within the range of typical temperatures, pressures, and alcohol content found in the draught beer industry today.
Extreme examples will most likely give less accurate results. Calculated gas blends are accurate within 1% and v/vol. values match existing charts within 0.05 vols. or less.

Easy Blend* - Use to determine the correct CO2/N2 blend.
Easy Volumes* - Use to determine what CO2 vol/vols your beer will become.
Easy Pressure* - Use to determine what PSIG to use based on your CO2/N2 blend.
Acceptable Range - Use to view the acceptable range for various conditions.

If you have any questions or problems with the App, please contact us at 888.735.5607 or email mobile@mcdantim.com

Conditions that are included in the calculations are:

  • Beverage temperature in the keg
  • Keg pressure required
  • CO2 content of the beverage
  • Elevation above sea level
  • Gas blend (% CO2) of existing Blender

Your input conditions determine:

  • Perfect CO2/N2 blend for your specific location and conditions
  • What range of pressures you can apply to your beverages and maintain perfect carbonation
  • Conversions between US and Metric units
  • CO2 content that will be maintained under unusual conditions, such as high elevation systems

In addition to our Easy Blend app, we have created calculators to help with other areas of draught beer dispense.

  • Our Cost Analysis Calculator can help you or your customer understand how On-Site Gas Blending with a Trumix® blender can save you money.
  • Our Gas Usage Calculator can help you or your customer determine how many kegs of beer you can expect to dispense using a Trumix® blender, or even premix cylinder gas.
  • Our Line Restriction Calculator can help you with draught system design to get the correction restriction values to keep beer from under-carbonating or over-carbonating.
